The Instructor
First and foremost, and by nature I am an instructor (or a coach if you will). I have worked one on one with clients with all type of fitness goals for over 15 years. In my mind, the difference between a good coach and an elite coach boils down to a savvy ability to empower the client to do the work. I may have the knowledge & tools, but the true art of instruction is to also create a personal and meaningful experience that resonates within the learner. Thus, my goal as an instructor/coach/teacher is to be a conduit for my clients and students to realize their true potential – every single day.
Part-time, I teach at the College level in Vancouver, both Active Health and Exercise Physiology. My aim is to inspire my students to turn the theory they learn into practice and to always think critically about what they see and read – Afterall, they are the future of this exciting industry.
As a strength and conditioning specialist, I also lecture extensively throughout North America, both to athletes and to practitioners working with athletes. I am the co-author of a “Building a Strong Foundation®” ~ How to train the Endurance Athlete in the Gym. It is a brand new certification course my company, Human Motion has just recently launched.
